One of my favorite families invited my family to stay/photograph for the weekend in Jamestown RI. Over the two days that we stayed, I was able to capture three families and six adorable kids. Thank you T…’s family for the hospitality, fine food (ever hear of the big green egg grill – makes the most amazing ribs), wine, and company – it was such a pleasure!

I love Maine and love LOVE love Maine Magazine. It’s by far one of my favorite magazines – great design – great photography – great stories! Not to mention that I have a huge crush on Cig Harvey who has been photographing the covers this past year. She was the photographer that used me as a model for a book cover. You can see it here – it’s my back…hehe! Anyway, you must check out her work – it’s amazing!

Yesterday at Whole foods I jumped (might have screamed a little) when I noticed the new edition of Maine Magazine was out on the shelves. Not only because I always look forward to this great publication, but because I had a photo featured in it!! A couple weeks ago I was asked to make, style and photograph a recipe for shortcake. It’s as if my dreams have come true – food, photography, and a great publication! (I love my job)

I was so thrilled to photograph these girls while visiting family in Wisconsin. These two captured my heart the moment I met them. Talk about adorable. Little F…’s voice was so cute that I wanted to bottle it up!! And R… what a beautiful smile and joyful attitude. This is one family dear to my heart – xoxo!!

I do miss my family SO much, especially my little (or big boy now)  nephew. Being 3 is so much fun! I just wanted to send a little note to say that I’m back in town. And since I can’t post without adding a picture here is a little fun from the fourth. It feels like it was forever ago!!

I have been wanting to capture little C… since she started crawling but haven’t had much success. She is just too fast!! After watching, The Fantastic Mr. Fox (such a great movie – and even better book) I wanted to give stop motion animation a try. Here is my sorry attempt…. next time I won’t forget my tripod!

I was able to photograph these two adorable sisters last week. I instantly made friends with miss E… I think that she would have posed for me all day!! And thanks mom for being so chill and relaxed – you make having two look really easy. Here are a few from the session.

Does anybody remember Ranger Rick? My dad always kept a subscription going for me as a kid. The obscure photograph game on the last page was always my favorite part. I LOVED that magazine! These images from the Arizona Zoo and Aquarium remind me of the close up photographs. I remember always wondering, “how did they do that”?

Anyway, I love the zoo but I always have a little voice inside me saying, “I don’t belong here – please return me to my home” or “how would you like to live in a cage”? I especially wanted to open the cage to one of the monkeys. He had such sad eyes Thank you creatures big and small. You where fascinating and beautiful.
